Little Alchemy is a simple yet educational and creative game where new items are created by mixing and combining elements such as earth, fire, air, and water.
Your goal in Little Alchemy is to mix elements to find new substances. You can explore and experiment with four elements to start the game: fire, water, air, and earth. From these four elements, you will choose two to create new elements, helping you enrich your catalog and make more new elements. Combining happens when you drag and drop an element onto the one you want to mix. You can move previously dropped elements back to the right side which element you don't want to combine. Each new item will also appear in the right category. Use the cleanup button in the bottom right corner if your board is messy.
The game is constantly being updated with new items being created. There are now over 560 items to discover. Some combinations are pretty obvious while others are created by logical thinking outside the box. Some basic creations are fire and earth creating lava, earth and air creating dust, air and steam creating clouds, lava and earth creating volcanoes, or rock and fire creating metal. Then there are the less obvious combinations like a hippopotamus created from a horse and water. Sometimes the elements created require you to think outside the box and predict. The game is a mental challenge that will keep you entertained and help you discover new elements.
