Each player is assigned a mission, either as a Crewmate or an Impostor, when taking on the role of the game. There is then a list of tasks that you need to complete for each role. They will blend in with the Crewmates, pretending to carry out the mission while secretly planning the assigned task.
As an impostor in Among Us Online, you sabotage systems and cause chaos on the ship. For example, you can sabotage lights, cause a reactor failure, or shut down a Crewmate. You can also eliminate Crewmates without raising suspicion. As a Crewmate, your mission is the opposite of Imposters. You complete tasks while staying alive by sticking with a group of players. This reduces you from being targeted by Imposters. While performing missions, you will be on the lookout for suspicious behavior or unusual movements from other players. Completing missions well is also a way to show other Crewmates that you are not an enemy.
Communication and discussion are an important aspect of Among Us Online. An emergency meeting after a sudden discovery of a dead body will be held and all members will present their observations and suspicions. Everyone will discuss and vote to eliminate the person who is believed to be the Imposter. Be careful to observe because if you vote incorrectly, you will eliminate an innocent Crewmate and make benefits for the real Imposter.
